Last week my wife and I met with our financial advisor and he told us that we should seriously start considering portfolio diversification. For too long now a lot of our money has been tied up in this one Utah web development firm. This company has done fairly well, but as the old saying goes, you shouldn’t put all your eggs in one basket. Recently we’ve been talking about getting into gold and silver mining stocks, but my wife fears their volatility a great deal. We debated about this for several days, but then our financial advisor told us that they would be a safe bet.
He also went on to elaborate about how the Utah website design industry is changing. He says that although these kinds of businesses will remain strong for the foreseeable future, that new players entering the market are going to change the way the old stalwarts run their companies. We don’t want to be left behind, so what we’re thinking about doing is putting some of our resources into the stocks he had told us about. Both of us now feel that this is a firm move, so we decided to sign the papers right then and there.
